Abdulsabur, 35, wrestles with the voices inside his head as he sits in his bed in the mental ward at Ali Abad hospital in Kabul. Abdulsabur suffers from dementia due to brain damage from a bullet wound in the head. He was shot when the Taliban captured villages in the Shimali valley six years ago. He talks and shouts to himself almost continuously, sometimes begging for the voices to leave him alone. His condition is incurable.

Sarah Rodler, 8, right,from Austria gives a hug to Michaela McAvoy, 6,left, from England. The two girls cannot speak the same language but share a common bond. They both have Hutchinson-Guilford Progeria, a rare syndrome that causes premature aging in children. Most die by the time they reach their teens. There are only 35 known cases of Progeria in the world. Every year the Sunshine Foundation, a non-profit organization, brings these children together for a reunion. The reunion was held June 21-26 in Orlando, Florida.
