Detroit is known as the Black Hair Capital of the World. Kevin Carter, 42, of Detroit, hair stylist who created this hair design, works at Salon Jacqueline in Southfield. Carter has been designing fantasy hair for the past 9 years. "I am creating hair styles that are over the top. These hair styles are beyond avant-garde," said Carter. It's about exposure, art and, says David Humphries, the creator of Hair Wars, "entertainment."
