Monica Mallet, whose brother, Kermit, was killed in a drive-by shooting, peers through curtains ripped by bullets at her parents home in Inglewood. The family has repaired the window glass, but leaves the tattered curtain as a reminder of what they have lost and a sign of the hole remaining in their lives.
