MOURNING A SOLDIER FRIEND Sergeant Jarvis Gibson (2R) from C Company, 1st brigade, 22 regiment of the 4th ID hugs Private First Class Tony Crayton (2L) as they mourn the death of their friend Specialist Donald Laverne Wheeler Jr. at a memorial service at one of their bases in the northeastern Iraqi town of Tikrit, 16 October 2003. Specialist Wheeler died 13 October 2003 during an RPG attack on their armored vehicle while on patrol in downtown Tikrit.
