“RIDER OF THE STORM” Jockey Robby Albarado, aboard eventual winner Cowgirls Don’t Cry, left, looks over as apprentice jockey Julien Leparoux, the leading rider in North America, holds on to his mount’s bridle as he is catapulted over his mount, Sanibel Storm, after the horse ducked in and hit the rail during the stretch run of the sixth race at Keeneland in Lexington, Ky. on April 28, 2006. When the 2-year-old daughter of Stormy Atlantic crashed against the rail, Leparoux went head over heels onto the safety rail and tumbled again into the grass. He quickly rose to his feet and walked off the track without assistance, and the horse was not injured.
