Heather Lindsey was at a crossroads. At age 36 and weighing 305 pounds, she knew if she didn’t do something drastic, she would die. “I know that I don’t have 20 more years to figure out the diet and exercise program that will work.,” she said. “I need to do something now.” That something was gastric bypass surgery.
Heather Lindsey floats along a lazy river with her 2-year-old son, Raymie, at Cherry Hill in Fruit Heights, Utah. “I want to be more active with my kids, but it’s just so physically taxing right now,” said Heather, a mother of four.
